This podcast where Ashley and Chris, two game boys, chat about titles from their personal gaming history. Each episode, one of the hosts presents a game from their childhood, including a brief history of its development and any personal anecdotes. After playing the game off-mic, the second half of the podcast is a discussion of how it holds up and whether the nostalgia factor still stands. Ep.111 - Bart vs. the Space Mutants (Nintendo Entertainment System)
Thursday Jun 02, 2022
Thursday Jun 02, 2022
The Simpsons was laying the stage for the rest of 90s pop culture before the decade even began, and in 1991 they took their first tentative steps into the gaming arena with not one, but two different titles. Yes, everyone and their best mate will remember the arcade heavy hitter, but this week Chris and Ashley are playing a slightly lower key entry in the form of The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants. Released across multiple consoles, the game sees Bart attempt to repel a full-on space invasion mostly with a can of spray paint. How does he do? Listen in to find out!

Chris absolutely pulls it out of the bag with this week's Mega Drive pick, which comes in the sleek and streamlined shape of Ecco: The Tides of Time. Ep.105 - The Sims (PC)
Thursday Apr 21, 2022
Thursday Apr 21, 2022
After Chris' Rosebud drop last week, Ashley had a hankering for some of the original The Sims - so here it is! We delve deep into the myriad expansion packs available, discuss how the game strives to reflect some distorted version of real life and reflect on why the game's overreliance on Comic Sans may induce some font snobbery.
