This podcast where Ashley and Chris, two game boys, chat about titles from their personal gaming history. Each episode, one of the hosts presents a game from their childhood, including a brief history of its development and any personal anecdotes. After playing the game off-mic, the second half of the podcast is a discussion of how it holds up and whether the nostalgia factor still stands. 2021 Xmas Special 3 - Wii Sports (Nintendo Wii)
Thursday Dec 16, 2021
Thursday Dec 16, 2021
We're straying into genuine cultural phenomenon territory for our third Christmas episode of 2021. Wii Sports and its console namesake came close to taking over the world in the late 2000s, with the former becoming the best selling game of all time, taking over all entertainment responsibilities at family gatherings across the globe for a solid few years. Nintendo captured new audiences and bridged generational gaps, and it was all in no small part because of Wii Sports. So come join us for a little trip back to 2006, find out what made the game so special, and whether it still manages to be something to write home about.

Ep.89 - Super Monaco GP (Sega Master System)
Thursday Nov 25, 2021
Thursday Nov 25, 2021
This week's game is a petrolhead's dream, or at least it might be - Chris and Ashley don't really know what one is, so it's really just a guess. But Super Monaco GP on the Sega Master System is a game about cars, and fast ones at that! Touted as a racing simulation game when it released in 1990, there's more than a little room for debate whether it hits the brief, and even more for whether it's worth anyone's time or not. You'll have to give it a listen to find out!

Ep.88 - Chicken Run (Sony PlayStation)
Thursday Nov 18, 2021
Thursday Nov 18, 2021
Chris completes a trilogy, of sorts, this week with his choice of Chicken Run on the Playstation. As he explains it, this is the third stealth-based experience on the PlayStation that he was playing alongside Metal Gear Solid, a game that has featured not once but twice on the show in the last month. Yes, it sounds odd to combine the two, but it does make an odd kind of sense, too, but you'll have to listen to find out exactly why!

Ep.87 - Titanic: Adventure Out of Time (PC)
Thursday Nov 11, 2021
Thursday Nov 11, 2021
An unexpected surprise this week in the form of Cyberflix's Titanic: Adventure Out of Time, a mid-90s point and click adventure that rode the wave of Titanic popularity to a level of success that even its creators hadn't anticipated. Listen in to find out what might possibly be the reason behind Chris's assertion that this may be the best game we've played on the show.

Ep.86 - Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions (Sony PlayStation)
Thursday Nov 04, 2021
Thursday Nov 04, 2021
Chris, as ever, is pushing the rules to breaking point this week and bringing what he calls a game but is actually a glorified tutorial for Metal Gear Solid, a title we discussed at length mere weeks ago. But who knows, maybe he can explain just why the VR Missions deserve almost an hour of your time, or maybe it will all crash and burn in catastrophic fashion. Listen in to find out!

Ep.85 - Splatterhouse 2 (Sega Mega Drive)
Thursday Oct 28, 2021
Thursday Oct 28, 2021
Almost not making it out because Ashley was too scared to edit it, this week's episode is a celebration of all things spooktacular as Chris and Ashley tackle Splatterhouse 2, an early Mega Drive hit that comes packed to the gills with buckets of blood (albeit green), a mass of blunt weapons, and monsters galore. Will it scratch your supernatural itch in the run up to Halloween? Listen in to find out!
