This podcast where Ashley and Chris, two game boys, chat about titles from their personal gaming history. Each episode, one of the hosts presents a game from their childhood, including a brief history of its development and any personal anecdotes. After playing the game off-mic, the second half of the podcast is a discussion of how it holds up and whether the nostalgia factor still stands. Bubbles are back, baby. Everyone's talking about them, not least of all Chris and Ashley who are this week playing the OG bubble blaster, Bubble Bobble on the Sega Master System. It's a game that's got it all: dinosaurs, bubbles, dragons, more bubbles, questionable pickups, and still more bubbles. But is it any good? Listen in and find out!

Ep.175 - Burnout Revenge (Sony PlayStation 2)
Saturday Nov 11, 2023
Saturday Nov 11, 2023
Normally, Chris and Ashley only ever gotta go fast when they're hanging about with sketchy blue spiny mammals, but this week, just like Markus Zuckybug instructed, they're using cars to proceed quickly and smash stuff in Burnout Revenge! Like a big boy's version of a kart racer, the player is tasked with forcing other racers off the road, into walls and over cliffs so that they can be victorious. Is it any good? Listen in and find out!

Ahead of the imminent arrival of its sequel, Chris and Ashley are taking another look at Cities: Skylines, a game Ashley has been playing on and off for many years (and first discussed back on episode 19). Ep.172 - Constructor (PC)
Tuesday Oct 03, 2023
Tuesday Oct 03, 2023
Chris shows Ashley Constructor this week, a game that he may or may not have actually played. A man-sim in which you acquire land, build facilities on said land and then build houses to shelter tenants to work in the factories on said land, its 1997 sensibilities seem a little outdated. Listen in as we tuck into Constructor and deduct whether it sucks or not.

Ep.171 - Sea of Stars (Xbox Series X)
Sunday Sep 24, 2023
Sunday Sep 24, 2023
Ashley is once more bucking the system and fighting the power to bring a brand new game to our retro gaming format. Sea of Stars deserves its place as an exception to the general rules of the show, or so Ashley says. Listen along as Chris gets an earful all about just how exceptional Sabotage Studio's gem of a JRPG really is!
